About

We believe in strong, positive family values which resonates through our company. Being a local family owned and operated business we appreciate and respect reputation in a small town ensuring customer satisfaction each step of the way.

Before starting our own company we garnered 23 years of combined hands on skills and experience in different aspects of the construction industry. We have completed and managed jobs from simple residential maintenance projects to large scale multi million dollar projects involving everything from project bidding to project completion.

With Dan’s dad and many other family members being carpenters, he was around construction his entire life, going from building his own tree forts and ‘cabins’ in the yards of his childhood homes to carpenters helper as soon as he was age appropriate. It was a natural transition working up through the ranks to become Superintendent of one of Canada’s largest construction firms early in his career.

With family and construction being Dan’s true passions in life, starting Akers Property Solutions has been a dream come true!

Sara started in construction as a Safety Coordinator after completing her Occupational Health and Safety Diploma through NAIT. After working closely with crew and management and being involved with project start ups she was able to see and understand how construction projects come together. Sara has spent a lot of time learning multiple facets of the industry. She is very passionate in the things she is involved in. In 2015 Sara became a Canadian Registered Safety Professional completed the highest designation in Canada in her field of work. With the people and professional skills she has learned throughout the years, it has been an easy transition to now develop and manage our rental portfolio, company safety program and helps in the coordination of day to day business.

We enjoy spending quality family time doing outdoor activities in our spare time.

Being the proud parents of our first child Ashton, don’t be surprised to see him at a property walk through or inspection, getting into the business early!
